Anatomical textbooks and atlases often neglect to meet the medical demands of defining intraoperative structures for oral implantologists due to the overwhelmingly comprehensive minutia. Because specific anatomical landmarks are hard to illustrate in a diagram format, students and professionals could be confused when met with real specimens in the dissecting space or in the operatory. This book, however, displays the structures of the maxilla, the mandible, and the nasal cavity because they in fact can be found in the dissected or live body, through the demonstration of cadaver specimens and scientific instances. Cone beam computed tomography pictures are also presented showing how this technology may be used to measure the bone relative density, the width of the alveolar ridge, and the length available for implant positioning under or above particular anatomical landmarks Many of the chapters consist of full-page images of particular cadaver sections with all the current relevant anatomical parts labeled for comfort.
